School is canceled today, Oct. 16. Our water pump was damaged as a result of a power outage. Repair crews cannot be here in time to make the repair for the start of school. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We will provide an update later today. Thank you for your understanding.

End of a great first day at NatureBridge! ๐ฒ Our 5th graders are having an incredible time exploring Olympic National Parkโlearning about ecosystems, teamwork, and the natural world around them. A huge thank-you to West Mason Fire for visiting Hood Canal School today and training all of our 6th graders in CPR! Students got hands-on experience practicing chest compressions on training dummies and learning how to respond in an emergency.

๐จ๐ฅ Today our students and staff successfully completed a fire drill as part of our ongoing safety efforts at Hood Canal. Safety is always a top priority, and we hold monthly drills throughout the year to make sure everyone is prepared in case of an emergency.

Vito has been involved in 4-H for two years, starting at the Thurston County Fair and now proudly representing at the State Fair. He has shared his knowledge through public presentations, teaching the community about Satin Angora rabbits, fiber projects, and his 4-H journey.
